Surrey v Middlesex – Team News

Surrey have bolstered their options with the loan capture of bowler Jamie Overton from Sussex. He went straight into the side against Hampshire and is likely to feature again.

Overton follows Laurie Evans to make the move from the Sharks. Evans is also on loan ahead of completing a permanent switch.

Bowler Reece Topley is back after his international return last month. Surrey also have England Test opener Rory Burns looking to anchor their innings.

South African Hashim Amla has started really brightly with the bat alongside fellow opener Will Jacks.

Dan Moriarty has been in impressive form with the ball as he and skipper Gareth Batty lead their spin attack. Topley and Overton will again look to complement them with pace.

Middlesex bowler Toby Roland-Jones has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

However, they will be heartened by the current white-ball form of skipper Steve Finn and Tom Helm.

Stephen Eskinazi has shone at the top of the order and finding more support for him is going to be key to Middlesex’s chances.

Surrey v Middlesex – Betting Tips and Prediction

There is not much between these two sides but preference would just go to Surrey in this one.

The form of Amla and Jacks at the top of the order and the insurance policy of Rory Burns lower down gives them a good platform.

Their well-balanced bowling attack could also prove the difference. Backing them at 1.9 with 22Bet looks a decent proposition.

Moriarty to put Surrey on the Road to Success

Dan Moriarty has been in eye-catching form for Surrey in the first few weeks of the Vitality Blast.

The 21-year-old has caused problems with his left-arm spin and can continue to shine in this fixture.

He has five wickets from his last two outings and his price of 4.5 with 22Bet looks good value.

Tom Helm to be Middlesex’s Top Bowler

Tom Helm has impressed with two wickets in each of his last two matches.

Skipper Steve Finn has looked dangerous alongside him but Helm can continue to prosper in this contest.

His price on 4.0 with 22Bet also looks worth considering.
