Sydney Sixers v Sydney Thunder – Betting Tips and Prediction
Both Sydney teams have been consistently near the top of the table this Big Bash League but it is the Sixers that look the most assured at present.
Their batting ability has been a real highlight so far and they will love nothing more than to secure their passage to the next phase with a win against their city rivals.
Thunder seem to have lost their way a little recently and three successive defeats have left them fighting for a top-five finish. Add in the loss of Daniel Sams and this is looking like another tough task.
Backing the Sixers to win this looks a great bet at 1.96 with 1xBet given the current form of these two.
Billings a Value Pick for the Thunder
Sam Billings looks to have found form in BBL 10 after a slow start.
The England middle-order batsman hit a half-century against the Hurricanes and smashed 83 against the Scorchers three games ago.
Should the Thunder’s top-order collapse under the pressure then Billings can take advantage to run out as his team’s top run-scorer in the match.
Alternatively, he could be perfectly positioned to build on a solid foundation as demonstrated by his finishing ability for England.
His price of 5.0 with bet365 looks a value play now he’s found his feet in this year’s competition.
Thunder to Have Highest Opening Partnership
Sydney Thunder may have struggled recently but the partnership between Alex Hales and Usman Khawaja has been solid.
While the Thunder may struggle once they depart, backing them to again make a good start could be worthwhile.
The Sixers have Josh Philippe but finding him a consistent opening partner hasn’t yet materialised. Jack Edwards has shown flashes of brilliance but doesn’t ofter stick around.
The current table-toppers bought in Justin Avendado in the last two games but he also failed to fire.
The Thunder are priced at 1.75 with 22Bet to have the highest opening partnership
