Lahore Qalandars vs Islamabad United – Team News
Lahore made three changes to their XI for the match against the Gladiators and those tweaks in personnel worked, even if one was enforced. Sri Lanka spinner Sekkugge Prasanna will likely retain his place if all-rounder David Wiese doesn’t return from injury in time. Maaz Khan will probably left out in favour of Mohammad Faizan again. Dane Vilas almost definitely won’t get the wicketkeeper-batsman berth back, after Ben Dunk returned to the XI with a near ton in victory over Quetta.
Islamabad United have welcomed the arrival of South African fast bowler Dale Steyn, whose mentorship of seamer Rumman Raees will add plenty of value to the franchise on and off the field. Steyn’s presence in the XI means Lahore need to go without an international batsman. At the moment, that’s England’s Dawid Malan. But it could just as easily be New Zealand’s Colin Munro or South Africa’s Colin Ingram. They also have England’s Phil Salt waiting for some game time.

Lahore Qalandars vs Islamabad United – Betting Tips and Prediction
Lahore have not beaten Islamabad in their last five attempts. This stretch includes their tied fixture during the 2018 Pakistan Super League. This time, the outright match markets have ISLU as the favourites to win. There are several batsmen and bowlers to keep an eye on as cricket predictions for PSL matches heat up. This one, in particular, has some intriguing popular cricket bets.
Hafeez and Irshad to shine for Lahore
The teams met earlier in the 2020 PSL, when Islamabad won by one wicket with one delivery to spare despite Mohammed Hafeez’s 98 not out for Lahore. That knock showed the value the local veteran batsman has to offer in a tournament lined with several youngsters and experienced stars from abroad. Hafeez perished for a duck against Quetta prior to this fixture, though, so could be blamed for blowing hot and cold. Hafeez is priced at 4.50 to be the top batsman for Lahore. On a bowling front, Salman Irshad is a good pick for Lahore’s top bowler at 6.50. He took four wickets in Tuesday’s win over the Gladiators.
Shadab and Hussain top picks for Islamabad
Shadab Khan was named Player of the Match after Islamabad beat Lahore late last month. He took two key wickets and struck an important half-century in that match, showcasing his all-round ability. Khan is priced at 10.00 to be Player of the Match. He will need support with bat and ball, though, which could come from Luke Ronchi and Dulbar Hussain, respectively. Ronchi has the most runs in the 2020 PSL across all franchises so far, while seamer Hussain has averaged two wickets per match this season. His start to the year has been superb, after a brief stint with the Melbourne Stars in Australia’s Big Bash League as well.
