Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi – Team News

The Karachi Kings are looking like a really good squad this year, packed with T20 mercenaries ready to lay it all on the line for their latest franchise. South Africa’s Cameron Delport and New Zealand’s Mitchell McClenaghan don’t get a look-in for their national teams, though this is by choice for McClenaghan. But they are both big assets on the global T20 market. The Kings also have Chris Jordan, who is excellent at executing yorkers and other variations in the shortest format. They have an astute leader in Imad Wasim, who will captain the team despite the presence of Pakistan skipper Babar Azam.

Peshawar Zalmi have the highest run-scorer and top wicket-taker in the history of the Pakistan Super League in Kamran Akmal and Wahab Riaz. Tom Banton and Liam Livingstone headline their international recruits. Both are popular purchases and drafts across various domestic T20 leagues. Banton played in the Big Bash League in Australia recently. Livingstone will also bring a bit of leg-spin to the party. Zalmi are without Dwaine Pretorius, who was in the original squad, but has been picked to play for the Proteas T20I side against Australia. The availability of West Indian duo Kieron Pollard and Carlos Brathwaite is also in the balance. The pair might be with the West Indies for the Sri Lanka series during part of the PSL. Hasan Ali is recovering from a back injury, but is in the squad regardless.

Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi – Betting Tips and Prediction

When considering the outright markets for this match, it’s well worth noting that the Karachi Kings have not beaten Peshawar Zalmi in their last four attempts in the PSL. Outside of the overall match markets, we’ve got some free cricket betting tips for you around the Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi top batsmen and top bowlers.

Alex Hales to be top batsman for Karachi Kings

England batsman Alex Hales still has points to prove in trying to get back into the national ODI or T20I teams. He was among the top run-scorers in the recent Big Bash League in Australia, where he was a key part of the Sydney Sixers’ title-winning campaign. Now in Pakistan, Hales is priced at 3.20 to be the top batter for the Karachi Kings. Alternatively, Azam at 2.40 or Delport at 4.50 are good tips for the top Kings batsman market for this match.

Liam Dawson is good value in batting and bowling markets

The advantage of betting on an all-rounder is rather obvious, in that you can go either way – or both – across the batting and bowling markets. England’s Liam Dawson is one of the lesser known names in domestic T20 cricket, but has forged a solid niche for himself regardless. His spin bowling and middle- to lower-order hitting are popular, even if he has been out of competitive cricket for a while. He’s done it for Hampshire in the United Kingdom’s T20 Blast and the Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League before. Dawson at 4.00 to be Zalmi’s top bowler or longer odds of 17.00 for him to be Zalmi’s top batter are within the popular cricket bets for the PSL.

Best Bet: Cameron Delport to be top batter for Kings at 4.50 with Betway
