Amazon Warriors v Patriots – Match Preview
The Guyana Amazon Warriors have a dominant recent record over the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Guyana have won eight of their last 10 meetings.
Guyana beat St Kitts on both occasions in 2019. Qais Ahmed and Brandon King starred the first time. Ahmed isn’t around this season and King fell for a duck on the opening day of this season. The second time, Shimron Hetmyer shone with a brisk half-century.
Where: Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad
When: Wednesday, 19 August 2020
Start Time: 21:30 GMT (03:00 IST, next day)
Pitch conditions: Both results on day one were relatively tight. The team batting second won once and lost once. The captain who won the toss opted to bowl first on both occasions. St Kitts used significantly more spin than the other teams on Tuesday and will likely do so again this time. They might even open the bowling with a spinner, as Trinbago and Guyana did previously.
Weather conditions: The wet weather that shortened the opening fixture on Tuesday might still be around for this one. Guyana and St Kitts will be able get a good read on the weather, though, as theirs is the second game of the day.

Guyana v St Kitts and Nevis – Team News
The Amazon Warriors won’t likely make changes to their team despite that opening defeat. They have a formidable first-choice XI.
New Zealander Ross Taylor and local trio Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran and Sherfane Rutherford form the core of the batting order.
If spinner and captain Chris Green doesn’t open the bowling again, Keemo Paul likely will.
All five of the Patriots’ top five batsmen got starts against the Tridents, but four failed to convert. Joshua Da Silva played as a specialist batsman and looked really good for his 41 not out.
The temptation might be to give him the wicketkeeping duties, too, and replace Denesh Ramdin with a more powerful hitter.
St Kitts had four seamers and a spinner against Barbados. The addition of a second slow bowler might be necessary. This could open the door for Jon-Russ Jaggesar ahead of Alzarri Joseph.

Amazon Warriors v Patriots – Betting Tips and Prediction
You’ve seen the odds for the outright winner of the match. Now, let our CPL betting tips offer you some pointers for who could do well during the game.
Bet on Hetmyer as the Top Batsman for Guyana
Shimron Hetmyer hit the biggest score of the opening day of the CPL 2020. He set an early marker for how to go about things in Caribbean conditions.
When the pitch is a bit sluggish, forcing the ball through the leg-side is a good option, according to Hetmyer’s shot selection and stroke play.
Unibet have backed him to be Guyana’s best batsman again, this time at 4.25.
Back Lynn to Go Big
Chris Lynn is one of the most calculated hitters in world cricket. He knows there is plenty of opportunity to capitalise in the opening six overs of the innings when the field is up.
It’s not unlikely he’ll hit three or more sixes, even if he is only there for a dozen balls or so. Obviously, the longer he sticks around the higher the chances of you winning 22Bet’s market of Lynn hitting 3+ sixes at 4.30.
Pick Paul to Shine with the Ball
Keemo Paul didn’t share the new ball with Naveen-ul-Haq in the first match, but could do this time. Captain Green experimented with himself at the start of the innings. Conditions will likely dictate that two seamers open the bowling this time.
Paul was economical, against Trinbago, but he’d trade that for more wickets. He might take a bit more tap the earlier he bowls, but it will also bring him more opportunities for breakthroughs. The fast bowler is a good pick with LeoVegas’ top St Kitts bowler at 4.75.
