Brisbane Heat v Hobart Hurricanes – Betting Tips and Prediction
Brisbane improved with the ball against the Strikers last time out but this looks another tough test.
Hobart were quickly into stride this tournament and will be keen to make it back-to-back successes following their only loss so far.
It is hard to look past the Hurricanes for the outright win.
There are also plenty of other markets to look at.
McDermott is a Value Pick for Top Batsman
Wicketkeeper-batsman Ben McDermott has been in fine form with the bat so far this BBL and can continue that in this clash.
The arrival of Dawid Malan sees him head the betting to be Hobart’s top batsman. However, this could be the time to back against the England star after his stint in quarantine.
He will have to get up to speed quickly at the Gabba and we’d be happy to take him on first time up.
McDermott looks the value play after good recent showings. He hit 46 against the Strikers before a brilliant 89 against the Renegades,
His price of 4.33 with bet365 is far too big.
Hurricanes to Hit the Most Sixes in the Match
The sixes could be flying at the Gabba with the ball coming onto the bat.
Hobart look a great pick to hit the most with the powerful players in their ranks. Ingram, Malan and Short will be keen to let fly.
They look much more formidable in this area compared to the Heat and their price of 1.75 with 22Bet to hit the most sixes looks a great bet.
Back Faulkner with the Ball
Hobart have bowled really well as a unit so far but it has been the performances of James Faulkner that have caught the eye the most.
He has been in the wickets since BBL 10 started and his price should probably be shorter than the 3.5 being offer by 22Bet to be his team’s top bowler here.
The track at the Gabba should suit the left-arm Aussie and he heads here with eight wickets to his name after the first four matches.
