Australia v India 2nd Test – Team News

David Warner hasn’t recovered from injury in time. That’ll mean Matthew Wade and Joe Burns continue to open the batting for Australia.

Australia won’t likely change their winning combination. However, they could rotate their seam attack, with James Pattinson or Michael Neser coming in for Mitchell Starc or Pat Cummins.

India will be without captain Virat Kohli for this match and the rest of the series. He has headed home to be with his pregnant wife.

Ajinkya Rahane will lead the XI in the absence of Kohli. Rohit Sharma could slot into a batting order that might have Shubman Gill replace Prithvi Shaw as well.

Mohammed Shami is also out for the remaining matches.

While the Aussies have a solid all-rounder in Cameron Green, India are lacking one. They need more in the batting and bowling, so perhaps selecting Ravindra Jadeja is the way forward.

Australia v India 2nd Test – Betting Tips and Predictions

Here are more free cricket betting tips for you. They are based on the form of the players, our years of experience and generous odds.

Bet on Labuschagne to Be Australia’s Top Batsman

A lot could be made of David Warner’s return to the XI and the characteristic dominance of Steven Smith. But don’t look past Marnus Labuschagne’s superb consistency.

He’s had a record year, almost hit a 50 in the first innings in Adelaide and missed out in the second. Labuschagne is an excellent price at 4.5 with 1xBet to be Australia’s top batsman in the first innings.

Back Ashwin to Be India’s Top Bowler

Ravichandran Ashwin was the standout Indian bowler in Adelaide. He has so much experience and thrives on a challenge, which don’t come much bigger than trying to bounce back from defeat inside three days.

Ashwin is the man for the occasion and might have more onus on him with Mohammed Shami ruled out due to injury. Bet on Ashwin to be India’s top first-innings bowler at 4.5 with 22Bet.

Make Cummins Your Player of the Match

Pat Cummins was spot on in the series opener, snaring seven wickets in total. It’s possible the Aussies might rest Mitchell Starc or Josh Hazlewood, but probably not Cummins.

He is the a big match-winner and just the type of bowler to really kick in when his team are on top. Make Cummins your player of the match with bet365 at 11.0. They have many other markets to bet on, too.
