England v Australia 2020 – ODI Squads

Jason Roy missed the three previous T20Is between these two sides but is hoping to prove his fitness for this series.

Ben Stokes is still unavailable but Roy, Jos Buttler, Tom Banton and Jonny Bairstow still give Eoin Morgan plenty to think about at the top of the order.

The rest of the squad has a similar look to it but with Chris Woakes and Joe Root featuring compared to the shortest format.

Sussex batsman Phil Salt was recently added into the bio-secure bubble. He makes up the reserves that also feature Saqib Mahmood and Joe Denly.

For Australia, they are picking from the same squad that featured in the T20I series.

However, the likes of Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Hazlewood, Matthew Wade and Nathan Lyon could all come into focus for this.

England v Australia 2020 – ODI Preview, Latest Odds and Predictions

England are made favourites to follow up their T20I success with overall victory in this series.

The current World Cup champions are priced at 1.67 with LeoVegas to come out on top after the three fixtures.

Australia can be backed at 2.05 with LeoVegas to upset the hosts.

While England should have too much for the Aussies, there is every chance this series will be just as close as the T20I counterpart.

Australia are capable of winning one of the three, so backing the ODI series to also finish 2-1 to England could be a good bet at 2.35 with Unibet.

Woakes the Value in Top Bowler Market

Chris Woakes excelled in the Test series against Pakistan and can continue to get the best out of English conditions back at Old Trafford.

While the pace on offer at Manchester will undoubtedly interest Mark Wood and Jofra Archer, Woakes could still be the man to take advantage.

His price of 4.0 with bet365 to be England’s top series bowler looks a little too big. He could be worth a chance, given how well he has performed this season.

Labuschagne to Shine with the Bat for Australia

Marnus Labuschagne has proven in the past how well he can bat in England and there is every chance he can do so again.

He starred for Australia in the final ODI against South Africa back in February with a run-a-ball 108. That was followed by a half-century against New Zealand in his last ODI action.

Captain Aaron Finch looked in fine form in the recent T20I series and he can carry that forward, but it could be worth taking a chance on Labuschagne lower in the order.

He hasn’t played for six months but he could see plenty of action should his team lose early wickets. He can be backed at 6.0 to be Australia’s top series batsman with bet365.
