The six star-studded teams of the Caribbean Premier League are again set to battle it out for title glory in 2020.
This year’s tournament will get underway on August 18 as Barbados Tridents begin the defence of their crown.
They will again face tough competition from last year’s beaten finalists Guyana Amazon Warriors, three-time winners Trinbago Knight Riders, Jamaica Tallawahs, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, and the St Lucia Zouks.
We have assessed each team’s chances, the make-up of each squad, and recent player form to help you when betting on the CPL.
Best Bet: St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to win the CPL at 6.00 with 10CRIC.
Back the Patriots to Spring a Surprise
The CPL 2020 looks like being an open contest, which means finding a value selection could be the way to go.
With that in mind, it could be worth betting on St Kitts to be crowned this year’s champions.
They look a well-balanced unit and it would be no surprise to see a new name carved on the trophy.
The Patriots are considered 6.00 (5/1) chances with 10CRIC to bag the overall tournament victory. Despite never winning the CPL before, they have a strong batting line-up for this edition.
They will have to do without Fabian Allen after he missed his flight to Trinidad but it does give other players the chance to shine.
Evin Lewis can again lead their batting attack along with powerhouse Chris Lynn and fellow Australian Ben Dunk. Denesh Ramdin bolsters them further along with New Zealander Nick Kelly.
Their bowling attack can also shine this year. Sheldon Cottrell, Alzarri Joseph and skipper Rayad Emrit give them good pace options, while the experienced Ish Sodhi offers spin.
Throw in the unorthodox left-arm of veteran Pakistan player Sohail Tanvir and you can see how well-rounded St Kitts are.

Trinbago Knight Riders a Danger
It is the balance of the Patriots that most appeals, not to mention that their 6.00 price looking far too big at this stage.
Their main danger could come from the three-time winners and joint-favourites, the Trinbago Knight Riders. They are priced at 3.75 with 10CRIC.
The batting of Lendl Simmons, Colin Munro, Tim Seifert and Darren Bravo will be well complemented by the all-round capabilities of captain Kieron Pollard and experienced campaigner Dwayne Bravo.

However, TKR do look a little light in the bowling department despite boasting Pravin Tambe’s leg-break options and pace prospect Anderson Phillip. It all means they could be worth taking on in this year’s tournament.
That lack of balance also puts us off the Zouks and Tallawahs, who both have some star names in their ranks but may struggle to find the right support around them.
The Barbados Tridents, priced at 4.50 with 10CRIC, will be a threat due to the presence of Rashid Khan and Shai Hope in their ranks. Amazon Warriors are the current 3.75 joint-favourites.
They do have a record of being runners-up, though, and will have to change that this time around.
A lot will come down to how well their experienced players such as Imran Tahir and Ross Taylor can guide their youth prospects.
Their reliance on local youngsters could leave them vulnerable when the pressure ramps up in the later stages.
