Sydney Thunder v Brisbane Heat – Betting Tips and Prediction

The fact both of these have just suffered defeats against Melbourne Stars can provide clues to working out who will win this.

Preference would be for the Thunder after their spirited showing. They gave Stars problems with the ball and even started well with the bat as they looked to chase down 169.

However, they ultimatley ended up losing late wickets and fell short of their target. Despite that there were plenty of positives to fire them into this one. Backing them at 1.8 with 22Bet looks a decent bet.

Hales Back on Form

Alex Hales showed signs he was ready to hit top gear again against the Stars. He fell just shy of a half-century but will be pleased to get some runs on the board.

He had struggled for runs at the end of the PSL but now has something to build on. His price of 3.4 with bet365 looks good heading into this one.

Back Dan Lawrence to Star for the Heat

Dan Lawrence was run out before getting off the mark against Melbourne and will be extra keen to get going in BBL 10.

He has just been called into the England Test squad for the first time and can celebrate with a big knock here. That call-up also means he will be leaving the BBL earlier so must make his mark sooner.

His unconventional style and ability to work the ball cleverly around the field can set him up perfectly here.

He can be backed at 5.0 with bet365 to be Brisbane’s top batsman.
