Sri Lanka vs West Indies 3rd ODI Preview – Betting Tips, Latest Odds, Team News and Predictions – 01/03/2020
Sri Lanka and West Indies meet for the third and final ODI of the series in Kandy.
Sri Lanka have already wrapped up the overall victory thanks to a 161-run success in the second ODI on Wednesday. However, both teams will be keen to end on a high note as they look to build momentum towards the T20I series that follows.
The home side took a 1-0 lead in the three-game series thanks to a narrow win in Colombo. A brilliant century from Shai Hope saw the Windies set Sri Lanka 290 for victory. They reached their target in the final over with one wicket to spare to put themselves in the driving seat.
After that game, Sri Lanka Coach Mikey Arthur challenged his top order to get big scores and find more consistency. Opener Avishka Fernando answered the call by hitting 127 to help the home side make it 2-0.
The Windies will be wounded after that defeat and will want to show character in Kandy to avoid the whitewash.
Sri Lanka vs West Indies 3rd ODI – Match Preview
Where: Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy
When: Sunday 1st March
Start Time: 14:30 (IST), 09:00 (GMT)
Pitch conditions: Sri Lanka don’t have a great ODI record at Pallekele. They have lost more than they have with only 10 victories from their last 22 fixtures. There isn’t any favour for a team batting first or second at the ground.
Weather conditions: The weather is set to be sunny and warm for most of the day but there is a 40% chance of rain as the afternoon progresses.
Sri Lanka vs West Indies 3rd ODI – Latest Odds
Sri Lanka are made the favourites to claim another victory. They are priced at 1.62 (8/13) with bet365 to bag the whitewash.
West Indies, meanwhile, can be backed at 2.30 (13/10) to bounce back.

Sri Lanka vs West Indies 3rd ODI – Team News
We are unlikely to see too many changes from either side for this contest.
The West Indies came brought in spinner Fabian Allen for the second ODI and may give him another chance here despite the fact he failed to pick up any wickets. Hayden Walsh could return after bagging two wickets in Colombo.
Sri Lanka will be pleased with the way they chased down their target under pressure in the first ODI and with the way they bowled West Indies out ion the second contest. They are also likely to go with the same line-up with the whitewash on the cards.

Sri Lanka vs West Indies 3rd ODI – Betting Tips and Prediction
The Windies gave themselves a chance in the first ODI thanks to Shai Hope’s brilliant display at the top of the order. However, it was in vain as Sri Lanka kept their nerve to pick up the win. They build on that in the second ODI and look like they’ll have too much once more for the visitors in this one.
Fernando to back up fine display in Hambantota
Opener Avishka Fernando batted neatly for his well-measured half-century in the first ODI. He followed that with a superb century in the second ODI and looks the man to side with here.
The spotlight has been put on the Sri Lankan top order by coach Mikey Arthur in the build-up to the last game and Fernando answer the call in style.
His price of 4.33 (10/3) with bet365 to be Sri Lanka’s top batsman looks too big.
Is Shai the only Hope for the Windies?
West Indian opener Shai Hope has been the main man carry the fight for his side in the two ODIs so far.
Dwayne Bravo, Roston Chase and Nicholas Pooran all got starts in the second match but failed to go on. It looks like favouring Hope to be his team’s top run-scorer is the way to go, especially given his price of 3.75 (11/4).
Best Bet: Avishka Fernando to be Sri Lanka’s top batsman at 4.33 (10/3) with bet365
