Pakistan v Zimbabwe 2nd ODI – Match Preview

Zimbabwe showed in the first game that they are capable of performing against this Pakistan team. They will be looking to build on that first ODI when the teams meet for the second time in three days.

There were plenty of positives for the visitors but Pakistan will look for much more from themselves.

Where: Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

When: Sunday, 1 November 2020

Start time: 10:30 IST (05:00 GMT)

Pitch conditions: This ground saw some high scores during the recent National T20 Cup and has previously been a decent batting surface. Advantage at this ground tends to fall with the team batting second but there should be something to interest the seam bowlers too.

Weather conditions: Rain is unlikely in Rawalpindi for this. Temperatures are likely to be just under 30 degrees throughout the day.

Pakistan v Zimbabwe 2nd ODI – Team News

Pakistan chose to leave talented youngster Haider Ali out of the first ODI.

He could be pushing for an opportunity after there were a couple of weak performances in Pakistan’s middle-order.

Vice-captain Shadab Khan missed the first clash after picking up a leg injury leading up to the opener. He will be assessed ahead of the second ODI.

Haris Sohail played a key role at number four in the last game and will continue behind Babar Azam at three.

Zimbabwe are unlikely to make too many changes after one game.

They will be hoping for more from openers Brian Chari and Chamu Chibhabha but Brendan Taylor and Craig Ervine looked in good nick. Sikandar Raza and Wesley Madhevere will continue to be in support.

Zimbabwe will also have been pleased with their bowling attack in the first game, especially from the returning Blessing Muzarabani.

Pakistan v Zimbabwe 2nd ODI – Betting Tips and Prediction

Zimbabwe showed their spirit to give Pakistan a scare in the first match-up. They were on it in the field and batted with real ambition as they 26 runs short of their 281 target.

Despite that, it’s hard to see Pakistan allowing that to happen again. They should again prove too strong and certainly won’t be taking Zimbabwe lightly.

Looking at the hundreds of other markets on offer is a great way to find value betting opportunities for this fixture.

Ul-Haq to Build on Half-Century

Imam-ul-Haq batted really nicely for his half-century in the first contest before a miscommunication led to his runout.

He will again open the batting and can capitalise with more runs.

His price of 3.24 with 1xBet looks fair. Should Pakistan’s middle-order fail to fire, a good start from Imam might be enough to hand him the top batsman accolade.

Madhevere to Shine Again

Wesley Madhevere was our pick to be Zimbabwe’s top batsman in the first ODI. He fell short after teammate Brendan Taylor’s ton.

However, he still smashed a 61-ball 55 to again highlight his potential. He previously shone during Zimbabwe’s ODI series defeat to Bangladesh at the start of the year.

It could be worth sticking with Madhevere for this one, especially at the price of 7.0 with 1xBet.

Muzarabani to Get More Wickets

Blessing Muzarabani returned to the Zimbabwe ODI side and looked a real threat on the Rawalpindi surface.

The paceman took two wickets and can be his team’s top bowler in this one. His price is 4.5 with 1xBet.

The other Zimbabwe bowlers did well but it is Muzarabani that we think can take the most wickets this time around.
