• Neil Broom – The talented batsman has been a bright spot for Otago during a disappointing campaing. He is their top run-scorer with 245 runs in nine matches.
• Nick Kelly – The left-handed batsman has impressive at times for Otago but has struggled to knit a consistent run of form together.
• Mitch McClenaghan – The left-arm bowler has been the top wicket-taker for the Volts with 11 in nine matches. The experienced campaigner has also taken wickets at this venue the last two times he has played here.
• Kane Williamson – The New Zealand skipper has been superb since returning to feature for the Knights. He heads into this one on the back of an unbeaten 79 in his last appearance.
• Tim Seifert – Wicketkeeper-batsman Seifert has been seen at his destructive best. His ability to quickly go on the attack will be key to the Knights’ chances here.
• Anton Devcich – The Knights opener is their second-highest run-scorer this tournament but has seen his form drop off recently with a host of low scores. He hasn’t been able to build on the impressive ton against the Stags.
• Scott Kuggeleijn – He has been among the wickets throughout the Super Smash. He failed to fire in the previous match but had bagged seven in the four games before that.
• Tim Southee and Trent Boult – The New Zealand star bowlers should both be in action for the Knights. This duo working in tandem could cause some real problems for Otago.

This ground could suit the big-hitting of powerhouse wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert.
