India vs South Africa 2nd ODI Preview – Betting Tips, Latest Odds, Team News and Predictions – 15/3/2020
Due to the ongoing threat of Coronavirus, this match has been cancelled, together with the rest of the ODI Series
The first ODI was washed out without a ball bowled and the rest of the series will take place behind closed doors due to the threat posed by the coronavirus. Despite the challenges of the last couple of days, India and South Africa remain on track for an interesting ODI series – and this shows in how the cricket predictions are poised.
There has been plenty of movement in the teams news, even before the series started, South Africa are looking to improve their recent ODI record against India, who in turn want to right the wrongs suffered during their 2015 ODI series loss to South Africa in India.
India vs South Africa 2nd ODI – Match Preview
Where: Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow
When: Sunday, 15 March 2020
Pitch conditions: This ground is very new to ODI cricket – and has only hosted three matches so far. All three were between Afghanistan and the West Indies last year. The Windies won two matches, batting second. The team who won the toss opted to bowl first on all three occasions. There was never a first-innings score of more than 260.
Weather conditions: The good news is that the rain that was around in Dharamsala will likely steer clear of Lucknow. There is a small chance of inclement weather, but probably not enough to wipe out the entire fixture. A high of 26 degrees Celsius and humidity level percentages in the late 60s are expected for Sunday.
Start Time: 13:30 (IST), 8:00 (GMT)

India vs South Africa 2nd ODI – Team News
All the team news that emerged before the start of the series applies for this second match, after the first one was not played. India have Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya back from injury. Shubman Gill was also named in the squad. Rohit Sharma is not in the squad. Mohammed Shami was not picked, placing extra pressure on fellow seamer Bhuvneshwar to perform well in his comeback series.
South Africa will be without Kagiso Rabada and Tabraiz Shamsi. The fast bowler is injured and the spinner is on paternity leave. The uncapped George Linde has been selected and, if named in the XI, will get a chance to impress with his left-arm spin and lower-order hitting. Faf du Plessis has returned to the ODI squad, which sports a wealth of fresh talent in Kyle Verreyyne, Heinrich Klaasen, Janneman Malan and Jon-Jon Smuts.

India vs South Africa 2nd ODI – Betting Tips and Prediction
Free betting tips about India winning this series three-nil went out the window when the rain had the first and final say in Dharamsala. South Africa still have a chance of obliging the cricket betting tips that have them as two-nil series winners, especially if they are victors in this Lucknow match. Let’s see which markets could be central to the outcome.
Four off the bat for the first ball of the match
We’ve seen this market for some Pakistan Super League matches, but not others. It’s back for this second ODI, with a four off the bat from the first ball of the match priced at 13.00 by Betway. If India bat first, this could be a particularly good bet. For short odds, a dot ball for the first ball of the match is priced at 1.30. A single is at 6.50.
Caught for the first method of dismissal
This category also has bowled at 4.50 and lbw at 6.50, as well as stumped 21.00. The latter will only possibly happen if either team open the bowling with a spinner. But caught at 1.44 is among the best cricket bets you can look for. We’ve seen it time and time again, when a batsman has an early go, only for the ball to fly straight into the hands of the fielder.
Best Bet: Four off the bat from the first ball of the match with Betway at 13.00
