The Melbourne Stars and Marcus Stoinis are among the popular cricket betting markets as the 2019-2o Big Bash League heads into its fourth week.
The Stars are currently at the top of the table, having won five of their six matches. They have the same number of points, 10, as the second-placed Sydney Sixers, but have a game in hand.
Bet365 have the Melbourne Stars priced at 3.20 to win the Big Bash and the Sydney Sixers are offered at 5.00. But it's still relatively early days in the tournament, with seven of the eight teams still in the running for the title. The Melbourne Renegades, though, have effectively been ruled out of the race. The Renegades, who are the reigning champions, have lost all six of their BBL matches. A similar thing happened in South Africa's Mzansi Super League in late 2019, when 2018 champions Jozi Stars didn't win one match a year after winning their first title.

Top Run-scorer in the Big Bash Markets
Marcus Stoinis has really stepped up recently. Players like Matt Renshaw and Alex Carey have been left behind, with Stoinis jumping to 281 runs in six innings. This big number was helped by his 58 against the Sydney Thunder and 68 not out against the Melbourne Renegades.
Josh Philippe, D'Arcy Short, Alex Carey and Callum Ferguson are hot on the heels of Stoinis to be the top batsman in the BBL, as are are several others.

Top Wicket-taker in the Big Bash
It's pretty much a batsmen's game, but the bowlers are doing their part and there are quite a few chasing the most wickets in the BBL this season. Daniel Sams has taken over the lead from Sean Abbott, while Haris Rauf is right up there again. Rauf's story is an inteesting one, as he was cover for the late arrival of Dale Steyn, but his form has demanded a spot in the Melbourne Stars XI even with Steyn there. The spinners are not to be forgotten, though, despite the dominance of the seamers. Lloyd Pope and Adam Zampa are the most popular spinners in the BBL betting markets.
