India and Pakistan will play each other at the T20 World Cup after being drawn in the same group.
Virat Kohli’s men have been pooled with their rivals in group two, where they will also face New Zealand and Afghanistan. They will also get two qualifiers from the first round of matches.
The other group will be made up of England, Australia, West Indies and South Africa, plus another two round one qualifiers.
The four teams yet to be decided for each group will come from round one matches featuring Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Ireland, Namibia, Scotland, Papua New Guinea and Oman.
This year’s event will be played in the UAE after being moved from India due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It will start on October 17 with the final taking place on November 14. Fixtures will be announced soon.
Games will be played at the Dubai International Stadium, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah Stadium, and Oman Cricket Academy Ground.

‘Highly Competitive Cricket'
“We are delighted to announce the groups for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021, said ICC action chief executive Geoff Allardice.
“There are some great match-ups offered by the groups and it starts to bring the event to life for our fans as our first multi-team event since the onset of the global pandemic draws closer.
“Given the disruption caused by COVID-19, we selected the cut-off date as close as possible to the event to ensure we were able to include the maximum amount of cricket in the rankings which determine the groups.
“There is no doubt we will witness some highly competitive cricket when the event gets underway in just three months.”
