Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium Profile
The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium is based in the city of Naya Raipur in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It is also known as the Naya Raipur International Stadium.
The venue is the third-largest cricket ground in the country and the fourth-largest in the world with a seating capacity of around 65,000.
The stadium hosted its first match in 2010 when the Chhattisgarh state side played host to the Canada national team in a one-day game. It was also chosen as a second home for the Delhi Daredevils, now the Delhi Capitals, and has hosted Indian Premier League cricket since 2013.
The first IPL clash at the ground was Delhi take on and beat Pune Warriors by 15 runs. That match made the SVNS International Stadium the 19th venue to host IPL cricket. It was also allotted two IPL matches in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium played host to eight Champions League T20 games in 2014. The ground has not yet seen international cricket played there.
