South Africa vs Australia 3rd T20I Preview – Betting Tips, Latest Odds, Team News and Predictions – 26/02/2020

South Africa and Australia head to Cape Town for this T20I series decider.

Australia took an early lead after the home side collapsed in Johannesburg. Despite that setback, the Proteas bounced back at Port Elizabeth to set up a barnstorming finish at Newlands.

All eyes will again be on Quinton de Kock after his fine knock last time up. Australia will be hoping David Warner can build on his solid 67 in the previous clash.

South Africa vs Australia 3rd T20I – Team News

Temba Bavuma is still missing for South Africa after injury. He nearly featured in the previous contest but pulled out late on. The extra recovery time has not been enough for him to feature in this decider.

There is also a chance Dale Steyn could come back into the side to bolster his side’s bowling attack. Heinrich Lassen has overcome a hip injury to be available for selection.

Australia may well stick with the same team for this one but D’Arcy Short continues to knock on the door for an opportunity.

South Africa vs Australia 3rd T20I – Betting Tips and Prediction

South Africa can build on the momentum of Port Elizabeth to bag a series win over Australia. They look the value bet considering the prices of both sides for the victory.

South Africa have struggled at times at Newlands in T20 cricket but have a decent record generally at the ground and can see this one out. Expect the wounded Aussies to come firing back but the home side’s promising bowling attack could come to the fore when it matters.

Captain de Kock to fire again

Quinton de Kock has been in fine form for South Africa and continued to show his brilliant best when plundering a 47-ball 70 to help his side level the series. He also blasted a century the last time he played at this ground. That was in an ODI against England at the start of the month.

The wicketkeeper-batsman also looks to be revelling in the captain’s role and can once more be his team’s top batsman. He is priced at 3.00 (2/1) with bet365 to take that honour.

Rassie van der Dussen must also be considered at (4.50) given the important support role he has played at times.

Smith to continue his consistency

Steve Smith hasn’t hit top gear this series but has still put in some consistent showings without pushing on to a big score.

He fell just five short of half-century in the first T20I but fell for 29 last time out. He can step up once again should Australia lose an early wicket in Cape Town.

His price of 4.50 (7/2) with bet365 to be Australia’s top run-scorer looks far too big. Warner (3.25) and Finch (3.75) head the market.

Best Bet: Quinton de Kock to be South Africa’s top batsman at 3.00 (2/1) with bet365
