Betting on Other Sports
Cricket odds are a primary focus of our Megapari review, but the rates available for other sports are a good indicator of a betting site too.
There is betting available on 40 different sports, which’s more than many other online betting sites operating in India.
ISL, I-League, and Bangalore Super Division
Football fans are well catered for with Megapari. They have a wide range of tournaments, including several from India.
There was coverage of the Indian Super League, I-League and Bangalore Super Division. All the main competitions were available, which is good to see.
The number of markets for each event is impressive too. I-League matches had 143 different bets listed.
The odds were competitive, although the margin for Indian tournaments was larger than other major competitions. This is case with every online betting site though, so is not unusual at all.
ISL odds weren’t on site until around 48 hours before the game, so keep this in mind if you want to bet earlier than that.
The choice of betting odds was one of the best we’ve seen in the Indian market.
There was good coverage of all major competitions, from Grand Slam events down to ITF and Daily Pro tour events.
The range of odds will vary by tournament though. High profile matches from the ATP and WTA will have dozens of markets listed, including wagers on each set, total aces and more.
Lower ranked competitions aren’t as well covered though. Less popular tours may simply have the match odds available, with no extra markets.
This isn’t uncommon, with betting sites prioritising the most popular events that will appeal to more of their audience.
Premier League Odds
Despite not holding a iGaming licence in Europe, there is clearly a big focus on the Premier League and other top European competitions in football.
The EPL odds are plentiful, with around 250 markets listed for every top-flight match.
These cover all manner of outcomes and go well beyond what many other betting sites offer.
Betting on the EPL is extremely popular worldwide and Megapari have an impressive range of markets in India and elsewhere.
If you want to bet on the Premier League, Megapari is an option worthy of consideration.
Megapari had something of a unique feature available on their site. There’s an exchange available for selected events.
This allows users to “back” bets in conventional ways or “lay” them. This essentially means you can back an event not to happen.
Some betting sites operate solely as exchanges, but it’s rare to see a bookmaker that has both products available on one site, with a shared wallet between them.
Betting exchanges have grown in popularity around the world in recent years. As a result, it’s great to see that this is available together with the sportsbook product.
Bet Constructor is an interesting tool available at Megapari.
It’s now possible to combine multiple bets from the same event into one selection. This allows users to build their own bets on selected events.
At the moment though, it’s only available on selected sports such as Football, Ice Hockey and Tennis. This is relatively common for the sites that offer bet builder technology.
It would be good to see this tool available on cricket in the future. It adds a level of flexibility for customers and would be unique in India.
